Funko Inc. is an American company that manufactures licensed and limited pop culture collectibles, best known for its licensed vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. In addition, the company produces licensed plush, action figures, apparel, accessories and games. Founded in 1998 by Mike Becker[2] and Claudia Becker, Funko was originally conceived as a small project to create various low-tech, nostalgia-themed toys. The company's first manufactured bobblehead was of the Big Boy mascot, the well-known restaurant advertising icon.[3]

Various other products have been released using the Pop! brand and its character stylization, such as plush toys, T-shirts,[29] keychains (miniaturized versions of the normal figures),[30] and ceramic mugs, the latter of which are enlarged, hollow copies of a figure's head, with a handle attached.[31]

Within the Funko Pop! product line, there is a series known as Pop! Rides, featuring the Funko Pop figure in a vehicle.[30] The Funko Pop! line also has figures that are larger than the standard figure, in 6-inch, 10-inch, 18-inch,[32] and the now-retired 9-inch size.[30] In addition, Funko produces Pop! Deluxes, where a character is seated on external set pieces, such as a throne, a vehicle, or creature. Funko has also begun creating Movie and Comic Moments, which feature posed Pop! figures interacting with each other and on display bases in ways that replicate moments from different movies and comic books. Funko has also created a line featuring artists with their album covers, this line can be found as Pop! Albums.[33]

Other Funko products currently on the market include a variety of collectible toy lines such as Vinyl Soda, Vinyl Gold, Mystery Minis, Popsies, Ad Icons and stuffed Plushies made to resemble their stylized array of toys. Funko also owns Loungefly, a line of collectible mini-bags and purses that feature popular characters and designs from franchises as diverse as Harry Potter, Hello Kitty and even Disney princesses, the latter of which are sold at official Disney stores and parks.

A live action/animated hybrid film based on the Funko toys is in development at Warner Animation Group.[43][44] The film was announced as being in active development on September 16, 2019, with directors Mark Dindal and Teddy Newton attached to the project.[45] In February 2021, Newton was confirmed to write the screenplay, in addition to his directing duties.[46]

Every day there are new things popping up in pop culture and making people go crazy over them. Nowadays, one of the biggest things that movie buffs and game lovers have been going wild over are Funko Pop toys. These cute, and sometimes creepy, little action figures started being released around 2010-2011 and since then they have only increased in popularity.

Some of them are super common and you can pick up most of them for under $20, but others are super rare and can go up into the thousands. There are literally Funko Pop toys for everything that you can imagine; even some of the older Disney movies like Aladdin and Dumbo have had their characters turned into Pop figures.

One figure based off of a Disney character that is pretty valuable is the famous Genie from the original Disney movie. The metallic version of this figure is worth more than the regular blue and can be picked up for around $700, whereas the regular blue version can be snatched up on Amazon for around $400.

There are a couple of different Batman Funko Pop toys available, but the blue metallic one is pretty rare. This is the classic Batman Funko Pop vinyl that was released in 2010. It is one of the very first vinyl exclusives that the company released years ago and goes for around $800.

They are all priced around $780-$800 but have been known to go a bit high depending on where in the world you are located. The price of this Pop figure seems to be on the rise, as it has steadily increased over the past couple of months.

Even though it is a Comic Con exclusive, it is still priced higher then any other of the exclusive Funko Pop toys that were exclusives to this event. The price has not stopped people from buying them, as it is pretty hard (but not impossible) to find one under $1,000.

There is a total of three different kinds of Dumbo Pop figurines: the clown face, the gold version and the metallic blue. There were only 48 pieces released of both the clown face and gold versions whereas there were 480 released of the metallic blue. If you are looking to get either the gold or the clown face figures, then expect to pay well over $2,500 a piece.

The new Little Shop of Horrors Funko collection features Rick Moranis' Seymour holding a small Audrey II, the man eating plant, Seymour's love interest Audrey (Ellen Greene), and her savage dentist boyfriend, Orin Scrivello (Steve Martin), also make an appearance, along with Audrey II and a bloody chase indicating the plant recently fed. In addition, there's also a 12" Audrey II SuperCute plush, which is a Hot Topic exclusive and then a baby version of Audrey II, which is a Target exclusive. All of the rest of the figures will be available everywhere Funko products are sold.

Frank Oz revealed much later that he learned that the dark ending of the musical worked so well because the cast comes out to do their final bows at the end, whereas the movie ends and it's just the credits. So, Oz went back to the drawing board and they completely went in to reshoot the ending of Little Shop of Horrors, utilizing much of the last song that they could. The happy ending was added and the film tested much higher than it had previously, and the rest is history.

I saw there were kits to make your own pops, but if I need to add materials to shape out my pops to customize them, what should I use? What sort of paint? Is there a book FP sells as a sort of guide to DIY funko pops?

The Washington-based company, known for its toys depicting pop-culture icons, cited ballooning inventory and limited warehouse capacity as the reasons behind the move last week in its fourth-quarter earnings report.

Funko "intends to eliminate" the excess toys in the first half of 2023 to "reduce fulfillment costs by managing inventory levels to align with the operating capacity of our distribution center," the company said. The move could cost between $30 million and $36 million.
